Shadow Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews says the government should “get on top of the passport processing issues” amid the Optus data breach.
It follows Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s letter to Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin requesting to “cover the passport application fees of any customers affected by this breach”.
“I think that there could’ve been … a stronger letter sent by Penny Wong, but in any case, the letter has been sent now and … that’s a step forward,” Ms Andrews told Sky News Australia.
