Treasurer Jim Chalmers says he believes Australians do recognise that multinationals need to pay a “fairer share” of tax in the countries where they make their profits.
“And that’s how we fund the services Australians rely on,” Mr Chalmers told Sky News Australia.
Mr Chalmers said the beginnings of the Labor government’s multinational tax policy would be seen in October.
