A Karnataka varsity vice-chancellor has been accused of sexual harassment by a former member of Mysuru University, K Mahadevu, who released an audio clip to support the allegations.
Mahadevu released the audio clip of a conversation between a woman and the vice-chancellor of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vidyashankar, and accused him of sexual harassment.
K Mahadevu was confronted by the Regional Director when he went to hold a press conference at Mysuru press club. Sudhakar Hosalli, the regional director, allegedly assaulted Mahadev and claimed that the audio of the woman was being released without her permission.
