Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says on Friday, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk dumped an idea to “gather data from other states” to “tax property investors investing in Queensland if they had interstate properties”.
“New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet had already said publicly that he would not be handing over New South Wales data,” Mr Clennell said.
He said Mr Perrottet told Ms Palaszczuk, ‘if you want to increase tax, tax your own people, not mine’.
“The measure was only worth $20 million a year in any case.”
