Activist groups have tried to enter Sydney’s International Convention Centre to protest against the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
The activists who claimed to be representing groups ‘Community Action for Rainbow Rights’ and ‘Campaign against Racism and Fascism’ attempted to enter the convention centre ahead of former UKIP Leader Nigel Farage’s address to the conference.
The two-day event in Sydney’s Darling Harbour is hosting conservative speakers with current and former elected officials from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Speakers included Sky News Australia’s Rita Panahi, Rowan Dean and James Morrow, current and former politicians including Tony Abbott and Senators Jacinta Price and Matt Kanavan, and former Brexit campaigner and GBNews host Nigel Farage.
